Join Our Team

We're excited to announce that our practice is growing! Our practice aims to enhance AAPI mental health through outreach, education, and services for our community.  We're looking for interested therapists who hold an LMSW or LCSW in NY state with an interest in working with the AAPI community to join our team. Those who have experience working with BIPOC individuals, couples, families and children are encouraged to apply.

We offer:

  • Competitive pay rate with commensurate experience

  • Clinical supervision for LMSWs, hours will be signed by LCSW supervisor

  • Stipend for CEU courses each year.

  • Opportunities to outreach in the community and work closely to mentor our interns

Responsibilities

  • Conduct individual, couples, and/or family therapy for 45-50 minute
    sessions

  •  Utilize a variety of therapeutic techniques such as behavioral therapy, grief counseling, and crisis intervention

  • Provide specialized counseling services like couples interventions, child/family interventions, trauma-informed interventions

  •  Assess with biopsychosocials and develop treatment plans tailored to each client's needs

  • Implement strategies for crisis management and intervention

  • Complete notes and treatment plans in a timely manner

  • LCSWs may be asked to supervise LMSWs

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Must have experience working with BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ communities

  • Bilingual skills in a second language is a plus

  • Active LCSW/LMSW license in NY state-2+ years of clinical experience in behavioral health, therapy modalities, and/or brief counseling

  • Experience in providing behavioral health counseling in a healthcare or similar setting is highly desired

  • Knowledge of laws and ethical standards pertaining to clinical care

  • Knowledge of DSM-V criteria for diagnosing behavioral health illnesses

  •  Proficiency in psychoeducating and implementing a range of evidence based treatments and therapeutic modalities including CBT, EFT, ACT, trauma-informed practices

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, especially when working in teams

  • Empathy and compassion towards clients' emotional well-being

  • Ability to case manage and create safety plans for clients in case of a crisis

  • Familiarity with community mental health resources is a plus
