Our Interns

Rachel is a senior at Ithaca College in NY. She is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with minors in Sociology and Counseling. With future aspirations of working in therapy or counseling, she works closely within her college and local communities to attain her aspirations. She volunteers for her university’s mental health awareness committee, JED, along with working as an assistant at her campus’s student support center. Rachel enjoys going on mini-dates with herself, where she can treat herself to coffee and cakes, along with journaling and cooking.

Hello I'm Miya, I go by (she/her) and I'm ecstatic to be working with the YourPlace Therapy team over the summer as this opportunity aligns well with my interests. Such interests entails advocacy and reducing the stigma surrounding mental health. With that said, I hope to be able to work well with everyone.

I'm Megan Tan (pronouns: she/her/herself). I am currently a junior at Stony Brook University pursuing a bachelor of arts degree in psychology. My current and prospective career goals involve working with children. I hope to become an advocate for children’s mental health by providing support and helping the youth navigate, express, and process their thoughts and emotions.

Hello! My name is Sally Jin. I recently graduated from Binghamton University with a B.S. in Human Development with a minor in Education. I love children and want to work with them in either counseling or just at a school setting. I look forward to working with everyone and seeing what amazing things YourPlace has in store for me!

Hi!! My name's Christy and I'm currently a rising senior in LaGuardia High School. I have a passion for the mental health field as well as art and I'm excited to be a part of this internship! I enjoy photography (overall art is like my favorite ever), journalism, and reading. I'm looking forward to learning and connecting with all of you :)

Alexander Nguyen (pronouns: he/him/himself) is a student currently enrolled at California State University Fullerton, majoring in public health. He is a dedicated student who has been named to the Dean’s List in the College of Health and Human Development. Beyond the classroom, Alexander likes to volunteer and has learned the importance of fostering a community through inclusivity and support. As a public health major, Alexander's studies are intertwined with improving the physical and mental well-being of communities through health promotion. Through YourPlace Therapy he hopes to promote the importance of receiving help and guidance with mental health.

Jane No (pronouns: she/her/herself) is an intern at YourPlace Therapy and a rising junior at Stuyvesant High School. She’s interested in the intersection between the AAPI community and mental health, and she plans to explore that topic further. Her other interests include singing, theatre, and seolleongtang.

Hi, my name is Erie Jin! I am passionate about helping people grow & heal in ways that make them feel safe & seen. I am also passionate about collecting cute figurines, playing with children, and finding cafes with good croissants.
